STEP 1: Login to OneControl and launch NE Configuration/Discovery Administration which will be under Administration.
STEP 2: Note down the details of node which is shown as "not defined".
STEP3: Login to OneControl CLI and change the directory to : /opt/ciena/ON-Center/OC/6.x.xc/CIENAoc/logs/mediators/cn54xx/ (where 6.x.x will be the version of OneControl)
STEP 4: Search for the logs with node name and check the latest log file. Check if the log consists exceptions as below: 2019/05/22-15:23:41.276 <Mediator> <pool-2-thread-1> <I> Exceptional Case: Not able to find the SubType so defaulting setNeSubtype to 5430 for sw.productName ->null & txn.chassisID ->null 2019/05/22-15:23:41.484 <Mediator> <pool-2-thread-1> <I> Mediator.initPasswords - getEmsUserInfo failed 2019/05/22-15:23:41.484 <Mediator> <pool-2-thread-1> <I> Inside initPasswords currentUserName = EMSUser, currentPassword = ******, factoryUserName = EMSUser, factoryPassword = ******
STEP 5: EMSUser authentication is getting failed the reason behind 5430 does not have the correct EMSUser password. Login to 5430 and feed correct password for EMSUser.
Post password reset, the node should come out of "notDefined" state in NE Configuration/Discovery Administration |
